Håkan Hellström’s Concert: 12 June 2020: ’känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg’s singer celebrates 20 years…

Håkan Hellström the Gothenburger and the leading singer in Sweden is performing at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg on 12 June 2020. The billboards of Gothenburg are festooned with the concert’s date and a collage of his photos in black and white. He started his musical career with the release of his first record titled ‘Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg’ (FEEL NO SADNESS FOR ME GOTHENBURG).

 

FEEL NO SADNESS FOR ME GOTHENBURG: Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg was the debut album of Håkan Hellström which was released on 16 October 2000 the beginning of the third millennium. To commemorate two decades of his musical journey, he is performing at the Ullevi Stadium next year: 12 June 2020.

 

On the Facebook Page of the event, Håkan Hellström 20 år | Ullevi, Håkan Hellström says: “2020 is 20 years since I recorded and released my first record. Then I never thought I would stay in the limelight for so long. I was most glad that I have had the chance to make a song – Feel no sadness for me Gothenburg. That song was only three / four minutes, but all my life.”

“In 2020, we have been there for twenty years, been in all cities, and even though I do not celebrate birthdays, I really want to celebrate this. Because it also means that I get to play live again with my friends,” he says on the Facebook page. “Take good care of you for the time being. Sing UP. In less than a year I count IN the first song. And I count down from … NOW.”

Håkan Georg Hellström was born on 2 April 1974 in Gothenburg. He is one of the most celebrated musicians of Sweden, and his seven albums have reached number 1 position on Sverigetopplistan (Sweden’s top of the charts). He attracted the largest number of people for his concert on 5 June 2016 at Ullevi Stadium: 70,144 people attended the concert.

The concert on 12 June 2020 is presented by Woah Dad! and FKP Scorpio. The age limit to attend the concert is 13 years. Woah Dad is an independent record label with roots in Gothenburg creating working space for ‘creators, entrepreneurs, artists and visionaries’. FKP Scorpio is a concert and festival organizer in Sweden, and it has arranged concerts with, among others, ‘Håkan Hellström, Ed Sheeran, Björk, Sam Smith, Celine Dion, Lana Del Rey and Justin Bieber, made grand shows like BBC’s Planet Earth’.
